Superstrata Bikes – A bike which fits you perfectly

Superstrata are at the cutting edge of bicycle design as we speak. They are using 3D printing technology in order to make the frames for their bikes. Moreover, they make these frames with direct input from the customer. Each person who is interested in purchasing such a high level piece of bicycle technology can send their measurements and specifications directly to the company and they will tailor the frame which is perfectly suited to your specifications.

Making the frame to exact bodily specifications is not enough for Superstrata, they also take into account the riding style their customers prefer and other preferences they might have and adapt everything to a unique design before 3D printing the frame.

Each bike is made from high grade carbon fiber, and features a unibody design. The lights are integrated into the frame for a sleek style, and the size of each frame depends on the custom dimensions of each bike, but we can assure you that they are all on the light side of the weight spectrum. The wheels are spoked and made from alloy, and there are 3 different options for tyres: smooth, mixed and aggressive. All the components are Shimano made, and are top of the range in their class. At the moment, there are just 2 color options available, namely black and white, but you can customize them at home.

Superstrada claims that they offer a total of up to 500,000 different combinations when it comes to customization. And this is just for their classic, non electric bicycles. They also offer an electric version, the Superstrata E, which is very similar to the classic one but packs a boost through its integrated battery.

The electric version is a bit heavier, but not that big of a difference actually. It comes with a 250W motor which lets you reach up to 32 km/h on just battery power alone. It has pedal assist and is also packed with Shimano components.

The base price for the classic model, the Superstrata C starts at $2799 and $3999 for the electric version. The official website even offers two separate special edition versions, the Ultraman and the Time Warp, both collaborations with the Japanese superhero brand and the festival brand. The color schemes for these collaborations are a bit wilder than the standard black and white versions, so they are worth checking out if you want a pop of color on your carbon fiber 3d printed bike.

We are very excited about manufacturers who are pushing the limits on what 3D printing can do, and are getting people comfortable and familiar with the possibilities of this technology. There are not the most affordable bikes on the market, but they represent an honest look towards the future of 3D printing and the endless possibilities this technology can offer people and make their day to day lives better in small but meaningful ways.
